9/6/2023 0 Comments Mlg montage maker online![]() ![]() Here is the #2 post on this subreddit in the last week. Occasionally this results in content that you can legitimatley call montage parodies like this and this, but in reality, we've seen a lot of non-MP content hit the frontpage. Montage Parodies turned stale long ago when they stopped becoming about creating parodies of shitty Call of Duty kill montages and became all about how many airhorns, Doritos packets, shouts of "OH MY FUCKING GOD MOM GET THE CAMERA!" and Mountain Dew logos you could slap into a typical video on the internet. I don't know about you lot, but I came to /r/montageparodies for montage parodies.Īt this stage in the subreddit's life, I feel like this is a good change for the subreddit as a whole. > make montageparodies great again by making all kinds of funny edited videos postable It is unfair to their users to encourage people to post that content here instead. People from /r/YoutubePoop will not want to have to go to /r/montageparodies to find YouTubePoop. Encouraging such stuff here will only create confusion of where to post things, encourage reposts across subreddits, and stop people from being able to find a group for each type of video. r/Edgyedits exists already (and is suffering drought). ![]() With the expansion of the community, and the rise of "MLG memes" as opposed to literal parodies, it's increasingly hard to find actual montage parodies on reddit (as /r/2MLG4u is slow and I have not yet found any other alternatives). I, for one, enjoyed the classical parodies of CoD/gaming montages. And I say this as someone who actively produces comedic video edits, like the ones you wish to allow. TL DR: make montageparodies great again by making all kinds of funny edited videos postable Let the mod team know what you think of this, we're betting that we should move with the memes, seeing as the memeconomy is constantly changing (and may have played a part in Turompo-san getting elected). We want to redefine 'montage parody' not as a parody of video game montages, but rather that each submission is a parody of its original source, and a 'montage' is a word that essentially means edited video The proposed rule is that any comedic video that has been significantly edited is allowed in. That means YoutubePoops are in, EdgyEdits are in, MLG montage parodies will always be in, other memes like eurobeat, faceswaps. We feel that, because we remain one of the most popular meme video subreddits, we should open up and become the home of all funny -EDITED- videos. You might be able to tell already that the most popular videos recently don't really look like the ones from years past. I come before you with another dank policy that will likely go into effect if unopposed: opening up video submissions to more than the traditional 'MLG montage' parody video. Hey folk, you probably haven't seen me since the last time I proposed and then enacted a wild change to the subreddit (getting rid of approval). ![]()
